WEEK 01:

1. Read Chapter 1

2. Solve Problems 1.1, 1.4, and 1.5

3. Suggestion: Go to general computer lab EB228 and try to become familiar with Altera Max Plus software. Use the tutorial provided in your EE201 Supplement Package

WEEK 02:

1. Read Chapter 2

2. Solve Problems 2.1, 2.9, and 2.10

3. Suggestion: Go to general computer lab EB228 and try to become familiar with Altera Max Plus software. Use the tutorial provided in your EE201 Supplement Package

WEEK 03:

1. Read Chapter 3

2. Solve Problems 3.1, 3.3, 3.8 and 3.9

WEEK 04:

1. Read Chapter 4

2. Solve Problems 4.1, 4.3, and 4.4

3. Suggestion: Review algebraic manipulations of Boolean expressions. Read Appendix A from the textbook.

WEEK 05:

1. Read Chapter 5

2. Solve Problems 5.3, 5.4, and 5.5

3. Prepare designs for Procedures 1 and 2. We will build Procedure 1, and simulate/build Procedure 2.

WEEK 06:

1. Read Chapter 6

2. Prepare designs for Procedures 1 and 2, parts a and b

WEEK 07:

1. Read Chapter 7

2. Prepare designs for Procedures 2 and 3

WEEK 08:

1. Read Chapter 8

2. Solve Problems 8.1, 8.2, and 8.4. Try to solve 8.3 (not for credit)

3. Prepare designs for Procedures 1, 2, and 3 (we will simulate 1, build 2 and 3)

WEEK 09:

1. QUIZ (Chapters 1 – 8)

2. Make-up lab, questions and answers session

WEEK 10: due: Wednesday, 10/30/2002 by 1:00 PM (beginning of class)
